Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 1, 2026

Adelphos Cellars ("Adelphos," "we," "us," or "our") operates the winery, tasting room, estate vineyard, and event venue located at 11206 Indiana Avenue, Lubbock, Texas, along with the website at adelphoscellars.com and any connected online ordering, reservation, and wine club services (together, the "Services"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to reach us with questions.

By visiting our website, making a reservation, placing an order, joining the wine club, or inquiring about an event, you're agreeing to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services, or contact us directly instead.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly, what we collect automatically, and what we receive through the third-party platforms we use to run our business.

Information you give us

  • Contact and reservation details — name, email, phone number, and message content when you submit a tasting reservation, venue or wedding inquiry, general question, or wine club signup through our website forms.
  • Event details — guest count, event type, preferred dates, and any additional details you share when inquiring about a private event, wedding, or corporate gathering.
  • Order and account information — billing and shipping address, order history, and wine club preferences when you purchase wine or join the club through our online store, powered by Commerce7.
  • Payment information — when you make a purchase or set up wine club billing, payment is processed and stored directly by Commerce7 and its payment processor. If you pay a deposit or balance for a private event or wedding, that payment is processed through HoneyBook and its payment processor, Stripe. In both cases, we do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Employment applications — if you apply for a position through our website, we collect what's included in your application, such as your name, contact details, and resume.
  • Age verification — because Texas law requires wine purchasers to be 21 or older, we ask you to confirm your age before completing a purchase.

Information we collect automatically

  • When you visit our website, we and the tools we use automatically collect information like your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you interact with the site. This happens through cookies and similar tracking technologies, including Google Analytics (GA4) and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising pixel.
  • These tools help us understand how people use the site and, through the Meta pixel, show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram based on your visit to our site.

Information from third-party platforms we use

  • Commerce7 powers our online store, wine club, and reservation system, and acts as a processor of this data on our behalf. Commerce7's own privacy practices are available at commerce7.com/privacy-policy.
  • HoneyBook manages client relationships for the venue side of our business, including contracts, invoices, and payment processing for private events and weddings. HoneyBook's own privacy practices are available at honeybook.com/legal/privacy.
  • Calendly powers scheduling for venue tours and event consultations. Calendly's own privacy practices are available at calendly.com/legal/privacy-notice.
  • We use website form and workflow tools to manage inquiries and reservations and to route your submission to the right team member. These tools only process what you submit in order to help us run the site and respond to you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to reservations, inquiries, and event requests, and route them to the right team member (tasting room, venue, wine club, or general).
  • Process purchases, manage wine club memberships and billing, and fulfill orders.
  • Send confirmation emails, updates about your reservation or event, and, if you've opted in, marketing emails about releases, events, and promotions.
  • Verify that you meet the legal age requirement to purchase alcohol.
  • Understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it, and measure the performance of our marketing.
  • Maintain records required by Texas alcohol law and general business, tax, and legal recordkeeping requirements.
  • Prevent fraud and protect the security of our Services.

3. Cookies and Advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for two main purposes: understanding site traffic (Google Analytics) and advertising (the Meta pixel, which helps us show ads to people who've visited our site or fit a similar profile). If you book a venue tour or consultation through our Calendly scheduler, Calendly sets its own cookies to support that booking, covered in the Calendly privacy notice linked above.

You can control cookies through your browser settings; most browsers let you block or delete them. You can also adjust your ad preferences directly through Google's Ads Settings, Meta's Ad Preferences, and industry-wide tools like the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page and the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page. Blocking cookies may affect how well parts of our site work, particularly checkout and reservations, which are powered by Commerce7.

Most browsers include a "Do Not Track" signal you can turn on. There's no industry-standard way for websites to respond to that signal yet, so our site does not currently act on it. If a standard is adopted that we're expected to follow, we'll update this policy.

Our forms may use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for money.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share information in the following situations:

  • Service providers — companies that help us run our business, including Commerce7 (e-commerce, wine club, reservations), HoneyBook (venue and event client management, invoicing, payments), Calendly (venue tour and event consultation scheduling), Google and Meta (analytics and advertising), and the tools we use for web hosting, forms, and internal workflow automation. These providers only use your information to perform services for us.
  • Event and wedding vendors — if you ask us to connect you with a preferred vendor, such as a florist, photographer, or caterer, we'll share the relevant contact details with that vendor so they can follow up with you.
  • Co-marketing and event partners — on occasion, we partner with other local businesses on joint events or promotions. If your information would be shared as part of one of these partnerships, we'll tell you at the point of signup.
  • Legal and safety reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of Adelphos, our guests, or the public.
  • Business transfers — if Adelphos is ever sold, merged, or transfers its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not share sensitive personal information, like precise location or financial account numbers, beyond what's needed to complete your transaction.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, such as maintaining your wine club membership, responding to your inquiry, or complying with Texas alcohol, tax, and business recordkeeping requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we collect, including relying on Commerce7's PCI-compliant payment processing for any payment data. No website or online service can guarantee complete security, so we can't promise that information you send us will never be accessed by an unauthorized party, but we take the risk seriously.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Because Texas law requires purchasers to be 21 or older, our purchase and wine club flows aren't intended for use by minors at all. If we learn we've collected information from a child under 13, we'll delete it.

8. Your Choices

  • Marketing emails — every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time. This won't affect transactional messages, like reservation or order confirmations, which we'll still need to send you to fulfill your request.
  • Cookies and ads — adjust your browser settings or use Google's and Meta's ad preference tools to control tracking and ad personalization.
  • Questions about your information — contact us using the information below. We're a small, family-run business, and we're happy to talk through any question you have about how we handle your information.

9. Texas and Other State Privacy Laws

Texas and a growing number of other states have passed laws giving consumers rights over their personal data, generally including the right to know what's collected, correct it, or ask that it be deleted. Most of these laws, including Texas's, include exemptions for small businesses, and Adelphos qualifies as one. That said, if you have a specific request or concern about your personal information, reach out to us directly. We'll work with you on it.

10. Third-Party Links

Our website may link to third-party sites, including vendor websites, social media pages, and review platforms. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review their policies before sharing information with them.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The Effective Date at the top will always reflect the most current version. If we make material changes, we'll post a notice on our website.
